O'Malley's Irish Bar

DESCRIPTION

O'Malley's has been in Shanghai as long as Expats can remember and this Irish Bar is definitely by far the best of the Irish offerings in Shanghai.

A huge building on two floors, to get inside you walk through a large open garden where chairs and tables are packed with people during the summer months. Has a huge outdoor wide-screen television that gathers the crowd for sports events. The inside is stereotypical Irish Bar decor, dark wood, nooks and crannies, lots of Irish-related pictures and ornaments.

The ground floor is usually frequented by regulars who want to get close to the live Irish Band each evening that they play (except Sundays) from 8.30pm until Midnight. Upstairs is more for the active customer who enjoys good banter with the throngs of people milling around the pool table (pay table).

The food here is of good quality, as are the draught beers, but the food portions are not that large and the prices for both food and drink are certainly expensive - with no Happy Hour either, this can make for a large dent in your evenings' expenses.

Open Daily from 10.30am - 2am and All Major Credit Cards Accepted.
