The Airport Tax When

At the International Departures Hall before
you pay your tax. It is at the apex between the International
Building and the Domestic Building. Takes Mastercard, Visa
& Visa Plus.
At International Arrivals, after you clear
Customs but before you exit to waiting hall. M/V/V+

Restaurants: |
From the international side, there is one
restaurant that you can use whilst waiting and before you
go through Customs. Otherwise, all restaurants are after you
pass through the Customs area.
In the domestic side, all restaurants are
after you pass through the Security Check.
There is a Restaurant directly outside
the Domestic side though for people waiting on Domestic Flight
arrivals.

On the International
side, as you Depart there is one after you clear Immigration.
When you arrive, there is one after you clear customs and just
before you emerge into the arrivals waiting hall. |

After you pass through
customs and before you reach immigration on the international
side, there is a Bank of China.
There are 2 banks in the building next
door to the Domestic side. The Everbright Bank and the China
Merchants banks.

Smoking
Areas: |
On both the
International and Domestic sides there are designated smoking
rooms once you have cleared through Immigration and Customs.
These are tiny rooms but there is a restaurant upstairs in the
International Departure Lounge that is large and allows you
to smoke provided you order a drink or food. In the arrivals
area there are none. |
Taxi: |
There
is a supposed 'orderly queue' outside the arrivals hall that
does work to some degree. Before you join the queue you will
be asked if you want a taxi and they are not strictly legal
- so beware. The actual cost of a metered journey into Downtown
(Jing An District) now includes a 15 RMB Toll as you exit the
Airport. Total cost for this journey should be around 40 RMB.
If the sum is vastly more than this then it is worth checking
with the Concierge when you arrive if you have been 'taken for
a ride'! |

You can take a Long Distance Bus from the
Airport to:
Suzhou - Price 50 RMB, Leaves at 10am,
11am, 12 Midday, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5.30pm 7pm
Nan Jing - Price 95 RMB, Leaves at 1.30pm, 3.30pm and 6pm
Hangzhou - Price 80 RMB, Leaves at 12.30pm
and 2.30pm
